Teaching Exceptional Children

This one credit hour course in Teaching Students with Exceptionality is being proposed to meet the state of Florida’s teacher certification requirement effective July 1, 2014. All teachers who recertify must have a 1 credit course in ESE or its equivalent in in-service hours. This course is being offered online Summer 2, Fall 2, and Spring 2 terms in an 8 week format. This course focuses on current issues in exceptional student education. Topics will include legislation and its impact on students with exceptionalities and current trends in special education in Florida.
